![]() The petition states: "After 28 May, Royston Picture Palace is losing its current managing organisation Saffron Screen and could close. The petition organisers have encouraged Hertfordshire residents to sign their application to join the support of Royston Town Council who they hope will be doing "everything in their power" to keep the entertainment venue open. READ MORE: Uni of Herts society co-president helping Jewish students 'just be themselves' The venue is currently on the brink of closure as after May 28 they will be losing their current managing organisation Saffron Screen. ![]() The petition was launched on Sunday (April 30) by Royston Picture Palace Volunteers and currently has almost 800 signatures. ![]() The entertainment venue operates with the help of volunteers from Royston and other surrounding villages in the Hertfordshire town. Royston Picture Palace is a not-for-profit and community cinema located inside Royston Town Hall on Melbourn Street. ![]() In a campaign to help the struggling cinema, residents and councillors have been encouraging members of the public to sign the petition to share their intent on the entertainment venue which be closed down. ![]() A petition has been created by volunteers in an effort to help keep Royston Picture Palace operating after it was announced it was on the brink of closure. ![]()
